Everyone thinks they are above the rules. Teach your kids that you don’t have to follow the rules because you are more important than everyone else... this man should be given an award for having the courage to stand up to someone endangering the lives of students. There are approved traffic patterns for a reason. They put teachers to direct traffic patterns for a reason. The fact I have to sign a petition to get justice for a teacher doing his job against someone who feels they are above the rules is absolute crap. This world we live in continues to get more and more ridiculous.

I don’t know him personally but good for him Standing up to these “better then everyone else parents!” When my son was there the line cutting was a constant! It needs to stop! Instead of punishing the teacher punish the parents!!

The school should be ashamed of themselves. If a child was hit you would be WISHING some one at least made an attempt to protect the kids. But we all know It’s business, admin, parents first and kids/education somewhere down the line.

Too many people think they are an exception to the rule in school zones. Parents need to lead by example. This parent completely disregarded the teacher’s instruction to follow the proper route, and their child witnessed this disrespectful and potentially dangerous action.

He should not be fired. Teachers get sick and tired of people who will not follow the rules. What is she teaching her child? There are rules unless you really really want to do it? He caused no damage or put others at risk. When are we going to hold parents accountable for what they teach their children. That’s where the disrespect for teachers begins. She’s mad because she got caught breaking the rules after being repeatedly told she couldn’t go that way. Terrible role model for her daughter in the car.

Fellow educator. We protect our students from people who threaten them. This was an unorthodox method of asking parents to follow the rules and safety protocols... but nevertheless it was a committed teacher protecting others!
