I am a parent and former teacher in Frisco TX. One of my friends from the Houston area posted this to her FB page and I have gone out of my way to sign this petition! GOOD FOR YOU COACH MORGAN!!! Thank you for going out of your way to protect the children's safety as well reminding parents that they are NOT above the rules!

Parents first need to show good examples. The teacher unfortunately had to go way above and beyond to uphold the safety of others. Give the woman a really big ticket for stupidity.

After recent events where students have been harmed in drop off and pickup areas, I have no problem with this teacher standing up for the “rules.” There are procedures in place to protect the students (and parents), and this lady blatantly wanted to disregard them. Don’t punish this well meaning teacher. If she was following procedure NONE of this would have happened. Want to discipline someone? Make her wait at the back of the line everyday for the rest of the school year.

He did what was necessary to protect the kids. Obviously just asking her didn’t work

I saw the video and all I could think about was the tragic death of the child in that area. I would love to have this coach as a teacher. He really cares about his kids. This parent was not setting a good example. Thank you Coach for caring. Sometimes as a mom, when I feel like my children are threatened I can overreact. However, no harm comes to my children.

Rules are in place for a reason ... so follow them ... hats off to the teacher who didn’t cared about his job and tried to stop that lady

Mr. Morgan I applaud you for ensuring the safety of the students by any means necessary! I don’t understand why this parent thought they could make their own rule because had it been their child getting hit by a parent who felt entitled because he/she was late, they’d be livid!

Teachers have to deal with this type of parent (and then their kids that follow their lead) every day, about time we say enough is enough.

As a fellow teacher, I teach my children on a daily basis that it is okay to make mistakes. Making mistakes allows us to learn and better ourselves as members of today’s society. This teacher clearly has a passion for the safety of every child at that campus, especially if he is willing to throw himself on a car to ensure no children are hit by this mom who has made it clear that she has no regard for the law or safety of others. I guarantee you the next time this young man is faced with a challenging situation he will handle it differently. Let’s all hope the parent has learned her lesson as well.

Both admitted and know their wrong. Let's act like civilized human and adults and forget the situation. I don't want anyone's career hindered over such a situation.
