He was looking out for those kids. That woman could have hurt children by driving around the cones. She should be held accountable for her actions.

Rule is rule..period. Sometimes parents behave poorer than children. Most of the time i see this coach standing at the corner watching for cars that violate traffic rules. This mother who drove the car should be barred from entering the school. Safety is the motto..no matter you who are. The school assigned the coach to be the guardian for the traffic pattern if it is followed. otherwise he doesn't need to be there.....

Yes, he should have handled it differently. Have a stern talk and maybe a warning in his file. But he doesn’t deserve to be fired. The mom deserves a ticket and fine! She knowingly cut through an elementary school line where her child doesn’t even go. She is the problem.

This teacher is a HERO! He did what I hope every educator would do to protect the innocent children under their supervision! Shame on the administrators who punish him for doing the right thing!

As a former teacher and a parent myself I understand that it isn’t the greatest example to jump on the hood of a car...but I also understand that we always do whatever it takes to protect our children, first. No questions asked. And I would hope that a school would recognize and love that about their teachers.

The young man is a hero. The arrogant driver lost sight of the real priorities

Thus educator's first priority is student safety. How is that punishable?

As a graduate from FBISD 2005, I support what this teacher did. He did EXACTLY what we expect every teacher to do. What if someone got hurt? Then we would blame the teachers for not doing enough. He did EXACTLY what was needed!

He didn’t endanger anyone and I’d bet money she has run through those cones many times before. Somebody has to stand up to people like that.
