We have seen too many children hit and some killed by people being in a hurry. She knew it was STARR day and needs to teach her daughter when you have such responsibilities you wake up early to ensure this type of situation does not occur. Nothing gives someone the right to break the law and defy authority. I appreciate this teacher willingness to protect our children and ensure a safe start for those of us who are law abiding citizens.

This teacher deserves an award. I have seen some of the worst behavior from adults in the drop off line.

I support this teacher who was looking out for the safety of students. Shame on this parent for thinking rules don’t apply to her. She’s teaching her child the same. No wonder kids are so unruly in school.

This teacher deserves a medal for protecting his students and maintaining safety standards! Parents who are running late or not entitled to disobey safety rules and instructions! Had there been someone with really horrible intentions this teacher would’ve stood in their path whether they be holding a gun or driving a vehicle

The parent was 100% in the wrong, she is not above the rules. The parent is upset because this is probably the first time someone put her in her place. Kudos to the teacher for standing up for what’s right and possibly saving a child from being hit as well

Going through Dulles Elementary will not get you to DMS any quicker...THE HIGH SCHOOL IS BETWEEN THEM...the teacher was keeping the children safe, and the parent didn't care.

I support this teacher fully! I picked up and dropped my kids off at the Dulles Jr High and High School for 14 years ...and there are some parents that just cannot follow the rules that are known to us and endanger children's lives.

This man is a hero! The mom tried to break the rules and the teacher stopped her. There shouldn’t be a penalty for him protecting our children.
