Mr Morgan is a hero. Disciplinary action should be taken against the parent i.e. she should be banned from driving her student to school... she should also be ticketed for using her cell phone in a school zone.

As a fellow elementary teacher, safety is at our utmost importance. We have safety procedures that EVERYONE must follow, no exceptions! It is our job and duty to inforce these procedures. I admire and respect this teacher for standing up for what is right. It is so sad how some people think that they are better than others and are more important than those around them. Keep up the great work!

Safety of the students is the top concern in education. Safely get the children in school, feed, and home. This young man did everything in his power to keep the children safe. If you punish him, you show political correctness trumps safety, and that makes you a terrible administrator, a poor leader, and shows you are spineless.

I support the teacher for protecting those that can't protect themselves from people who think they can break the rules because they didn't plan ahead

I have been there, Brother. Keep doing what is best for all of your children. I love how you kept trying to speak calmly in the video. You're amazing. God bless you.

This is a great teacher... the mother should be more responsible and get her daughter to school on time and not break rules. The mother clearly is a bad example for her daughter. Good job teacher!!!!!

He’s a hero in my book! He did what he needed to do to protect his school and the children who go there. Ms. Rita was in the wrong and should have never tried going through areas that were blocked off. Her emergency doesn’t constitute an emergency on anyone else’s part. She needs to plan accordingly next time.

This is exactly the kind of teacher I would want teaching my kids. He literally put himself in harms way for the safety of the kids. Tardy mom needs to follow the rules & work on her time management.

That teacher did the right thing. As a parent, I applaud him for protecing the kids. This lady was in the complete wrong. She is no victim. I'm pretty sure she would not have done that if there was a police officer there.
