We need more teachers just like him. I support what he did 100%. It’s parents like that, that make kids today think rules don’t apply to them.

As a mother first safety is my number one! If I saw a parent doing this as my child walks by...she wouldn’t not be happy with me! Secondly as a teacher safety again is my number one to my 300 plus kids!!!! I would hope a teacher would do this to protect my kids! I truly hope the district backs him up.

This teacher was doing his JOB. He is a hero! Fox 26 news needs to go back to college to learn how to give reports. Common sense was clearly lacking in this repetition. Shame on Fox and shame on Rita for thinking rules don’t apply to her.

Great job Mr. Young, you just as easily saved a child's life due to a parent selfish act.....

I am a 1st grade teacher in NC. We have 2 car rider lines, daycare vans, and 2 fleets of about 7 buses each; and drop off and pick up procedures are a serious matter.

I am an elementary teacher, and I see parents all the time, before and after school, putting the lives of their children and other children in danger!!! Rita is the one who should face consequences!!! Not this hero teacher!!! Good for him!!

He should be acknowledged for his passion in protecting our children!!! He should by no circumstances be reprimanded for doing what he is paid to do caring for our kids and teaching them.

This teacher is a hero and doubly saved lots of kids lives because women like her have no business speeding through elementary school zones !! God Bless him!!

It would be more to talk about if he would have allowed Rita to keep going and a child was hurt. I’m proud of this man.
