This was NOT this teacher’s first attempt to stop this woman. She ignored several redirections (including cones) and he was desperate to keep his students safe! You should be rewarding his efforts & disciplining the PARENT’S actions! If a child had been injured, would this teacher be in trouble then?? (Aside from the extreme guilt & shame he’d put on himself) Shameful. You and the news station who ran this story should be completely ashamed for blaming this teacher. Stand up for your employees & quit letting self-entitled parents & students run YOU.

That was her fault. He should not get anything done to him because of something she could have avoided. Rules are rules for a reason.

He went above and beyond the call of duty. Give that man a medal. And the driver? She filmed her own guilt. Normally a moving violation just to be where she went, she turned it into reckless endangerment and possibly attempted homicide. When you are so clearly in the wrong, you do not get to criticize the system or the people so valiantly trying to put you back right again. She got out of line in more ways than one; going to the back of it is just and right.

This teacher should be COMMENDED for not allowing a parent to endanger the safety of smaller children solely because she has poor time management skills and didn’t want to be “inconvenienced”. She should be ashamed of herself and we need more teachers like Aaron.

I'm not a parent, but when I am, I would love for him to be my child's teacher!

Shame on a parent who thinks others should pay for her lackness in preparing to get HER child to school on time. Then for her to berate someone who is trying to protect children while she only thinks about herself and her high school student.

This young man would obviously risk his life for these kids. This mom was out of line. She willfully broke rules and procedures because she didn't want to be inconvenienced. Mr. Young, you have my support and respect.

I’m from Australia, and last year we had a shocking incident where a car driven in a primary school car park lost control and smashed into a classroom, killing 2 Year 3 boys. I can’t even believe the lady who was attempting to drive through openly admitted she was cutting the line and doing the wrong thing, not giving one thought to her actions. Teachers cop a bad deal universally, but this? Come on America, sort yourselves out. That school should feel lucky they’ve got a teacher willing to put his professional reputation on the line to make a point about child safety.
