Unfortunately cutting, especially when in an automobile, has become too common and such “me first” behaviors should be called out and I can’t tgink of a safer manner than this teacher chose.

My only wish is I hope our schools have a teacher like him to protect our children. Shame on Rita!!!

This teacher was trying to do his job. This parent was warned and still continued to ignore procedures set in place for children’s safety. I’m sure this went to the media because she is hoping to get some kind of payout from the school district. Shame on her.

This teacher should not be in Any kind of trouble. He was protecting kids from potential harm. That parent should be ticketed and be made to take a driver's ed. class!

This man was clearly looking out for his students. This parent showed entitlement and a total disregard for the rules. If it is the social and political expectation that teachers take bullets to save their students from gunmen, why are we even thinking twice about this man stopping her car? This had the potential to be a dangerous situation and, in the moment, he did what he thought was right. I applaud this man.

The world needs more teachers like this young man. Every school should be so lucky to have teachers like him, who would do everything in their power to protect children. He's the victim, not Wrong Way Rita. She should be banned from all school campuses. And the only thing she's entitled to receive is a traffic ticket. He should be lauded, held as the standard, and praised for his actions.

As elementary educators, we have to do whatever it takes to keep the kids safe.

This is a teacher who cares. Rita is a woman who thinks her time is more important than the rules made to keep children safe. Mr. Morgan should not be disciplined for doing his job.

The man deserves a medal, not disciplinary action.

As an educator, I would hire this man in a second. He did what he could to protect his students. Then you’re thinking of punishing him, shameful.

As a parent AND a 1st grade teacher (who does car duty) I do not believe this teacher did anything wrong. To punish him is to tell the parents that the rules do not pertain to them. He was looking out for his students which is what the parents of that school would want. How dare that mother potentially put the lives of other children at risk because she did not want her own child to be late? Shame on the news for painting her to be the victim in this case as well!

I only wish more teachers would take the responsibility of protecting others as this gentleman has. In the moment, with Rita still driving, he put his life ahead of others to protect them. Need more people in this world like him.
