This teacher was in the right and the parent was wrong. She needs to do by example. This needs to stop being a me me me society and people need to adhere to rules.

I live across the street from an elementary school and see parents drive like idiots everyday a few years back a child was even hit while trying to cross the street. People need to think of others not just their self.

He’s protecting children. Just because some colored lady thinks it’s her time to use the race card doesn’t mean she should. She was wrong.

She's clueless. It's all about her. She should be worrying about what lessons she's teaching her daughter.

I am appalled that this teacher is being reprimanded for protecting those children! Rita needs to be the one getting the ticket for child endangerment!

My own husband was victim of hit and run by someone who thought rules didn’t apply to them; I comm nd this teacher for his brave act to get th message across and protect th children.

It does not seem that he caused any damage to person or property. If they went to court who would be liable? I don't think that punishment should be given when judge and jury would likely see him (and the ones he was defending against harm) would likely see he is the victim here!

There should be more teachers like him. You should take legal action against the woman who endangered your children. At least a ticket since she even confessed on TV that’s he dangerously ignored traffic instructions.

The teacher did his job. Period. He was protecting his kids. This parent is an idiot to think she’s above the rules to cut through a school. Be on time & follow rules!!

The teacher did his job by putting the safety of students first. I shutter to think how this story would have played out had a child been hit. Kudos to him!!

You should be ashamed disciplining that teacher. I would want 20 teachers like him at my sons school. We support him. Rita whoever you are, you are an entitled idiot!

He’s a hero, he risked his own physical safety to protect the kids. Disciplining him is reprehensible. Can we please stop coddling criminals? Rita was driving recklessly.

No discipline should be taken!

This lady was clearly in the wrong. As a grandparent with a child in FBISD, I appreciate this young man’s effort to protect the children of his school.

As the statement notes that while Mr. Morgans's may have been unorthodox, I commend him for taking action especially in light of the tragedies that have been occurring around the country at our schools. Ms. Trimmer-Ray was out of line. She could have injured a student or worse. Hopefully, this is a teachable moment for her as well.
