He does not deserve to be punished for in forcing the rules the driver was at wrong and should have followed the 1st person warning her it was not open

I nominate this teacher for Teacher of the Year, Rita deserves a ticket, and the news station should be embarrassed for giving coverage to an entitled parent during Teacher Appreciation Week!

I wish we had more teachers that cared as much as him. We should be thanking him.

This man is a hero! This parent was clearly disregarding the safety procedures put in place by the school. Give him a pay raise!!

Dropping off kids in the a.m. is stressful enough and he may have saved a child life that day. She's too busy throwing caution to the wind, if her daughter was attending the elementary school and someone else was the driver- I wonder who she would be supporting.

I would expect nothing less of a teacher at my children’s elementary school.

This young teacher was doing his duty- to protect and serve while he was on his post. Please don’t fire this teacher.... excuse his passion for protecting the students. That was his way of responding to protect and to show that no one should be at leisure to break rules st any time!

The driver is out of control. She had no right to go around the cones. She thinks she is a victim and she IS NOT. She only care less about herself.

The parent and NOT the educator should be reprimanded.

A bad decision by a parent led to the necessity of this young educator’s actions. Had she not slowed down, the video passed around social media would have been “why did the school allow a parent to disobey rules and strike a child with her car”...

This teacher is to commended for following protocol to protect children. Ritas daughter should be required to ride the bus for everyone's safely.

Good for him! You are not entitled to put childrens lives at risk because you think youre too good to wait like everyone else! I support Coach Young. If the school disciplines him, they should be ashamed!!!

Punishing the teacher is enabling bad behavior! Rita was in the wrong!

The teacher was doing his job to protect the kids ...if a child had been harmed you all would be singing a different tune.....maybe the parents should stop thinking they can do whatever and have no consequences and after he said no maybe she should have tried LISTENING !!!!!
