BRAVO to you. As a school employee I have the same job at morning drop off and parents try this stuff all the time. Signs and cones dont apply to them. I would have done the same thing. Its all about protecting our students. Thers no excuse big enough to allow for what she did. Shame on her.

As a teacher of30 years who has had many years of before school/after school and bus duty, I am disgusted that 1-this parent who drove through a coned area at student drop off (because she was running late) and ignored TWO teachers who attempted to stop her from entering an area closed for the PROTECTION OF THE STUDENTS isn't being disciplined/prosecuted, while 2-a teacher who, stopped the vehicle after 3 attempts to keep drivers out of this protected area that went ignored, did what he had to to keep his students safe is being disciplined?! SHAME ON YOU, school district! As a teacher and a parent, I would question having any of my children in your district and the ability to keep my child safe. And I certainly would not want to be employed by your district with your double standards.

This young man is the epitome of school safety. With all of the violence we cant prevent, he did something he could do to protect the students at Dulles. I work in a high school and have almost gotten hit a number of times frkm people whipping through OR passing a stopped bus

I am very saddened that this is even an issue. I have been a teacher for 11 years and this was my first year I got to do car pool duty because I didn't have my own class. There were days that it was cold, hot, rainy, and just hard to stand because I was pregnant. This was my favorite part of the day being able to greet the students as they walk in. I am glad someone took a stand for the safety of the students. I have seen parents do some crazy things in carpool line. At my old school a parent almost ran over another parent because she wanted to be first in the carpool line. I have seen parents drop of kindergartners in the parking lot and the child just run across the carpool line by themselves because the parents didnt want to wait in the long line. Thank you Aaron for your concern and dedication to these children.

That parent that was breaking the rules should not be made out by the media as the victim. This teacher was only making sure rules were followed BY ADULTS AS WELL AS CHILDREN so no one would be hurt. School traffic is horrible and if traffic flow rules aren't in place children are in danger. That parent should be ticketed.

If he were a law enforcement officer acting as security at a private business, Rita Trimmer-Ray would have received a citation(s) for her actions.

That parent was clearly a safety issue.

This teacher was protecting his students, that parent was in the wrong. Please allow this passionate professional to continue working with the children he obviously cares so much about.

I can't believe the media made the woman (was CLEARLY in the wrong) into the victim and tried to make this man out to be the villain! He's a hero!

This brave teacher Mr. Morgan risked his life to keep our children safe. He should be honored and deserves no disciplinary action from Fort Bend ISD.

I am so PROUD of Aaron Morgan for keeping children safe and thinking more of their safety than his own well being - physically and professionally!

I am a parent volunteer in the FBISD system from elementary & currently in HS and have seen quite a bit of close calls due to parents running late and the ‘unconventional’ methods they would now take to get their kid into the school. I applaud this teacher. Stop taking the side of the person complaining to ‘make it go away’ or to assume that because they talk loud or draw attention that they are right. This person was wrong and embarrassed, tried to bring the a good teacher and good school down by getting BAD media attention, and now hoping to save face because it happened in front of her daughter and be vindicated by decisions that you will be making. This will set a precedent.

It is sad that we would give media coverage to anyone that threatens the safety of children. She even admits that she was taking a shortcut and bypassing the line. This person was on her hood after they waved at her to stop.
