As educators, we do EVERYTHING to protect OUR students. Driving in an area that is blocked to traffic makes her a threat to safety. Mr. Morgan's actions were justifiable.

The Parent was wrong trying to cut thru area clearly marked off not to enter because to lazy to wait in line. Maybe she needs to learn how to manage her time better. We all consider our time important and need to follow rules or we would have chaos.

I wound be grateful if my boys attended a school with teachers who will go to great lengths to protect my children.... this is a job well done in my book! He felt the need to make a statement for the safety of the children. Do not punish him over being protective of children!!!! She should have a ticket for diving in a blocked off area! Help him make a statement together! No child should be at risk of harm while at school and no one is excluded from the way they run things!!!!

His man did his job with every intention of protecting children at that school.

Rita Trimmer Ray should be ashamed of herself. She sets a terrible example for other parents. She caused this incident because she was late. She thought the rules didn't apply to her. While I don't agree with Mr. Morgan's methods, I applaud his intention to enforce the rules with safety was the foremost concern. I hope someone sits down with Rita Trimmer Ray and explains to her that being late doesn't mean you get do whatever you want to. The rules are in place for a reason: SAFETY of the kids.

If one parent does it all parents are getting a free ticket to do it! The lady was wrong! Follow the rules just like all parents! He’s a heroic teacher what he did shows how much he follows rules and doesn’t play when it comes to the safety of the kids!

Why are teachers being punished for protecting kids? The lady wasn't stopping for the rules of the road, bravo to him for putting himself on the line for children!

The mom knew better. She even said she knew she would have to go back and get in line, so your teacher was right! She may feel he was wrong but she had no business being there at all!

This is a no brainer. He doesn't know who these people are--a crazy person looking to run down innocents with a car, or a disorganized entitled woman who thinks rules don't apply to her, or whomever. He leapt in, put himself at risk, and made a difference. He needs a medal. And maybe the Teacher of the Month award.

I applaud this brave man. Thank you. If every parent cared about their children like you showed you care for these School Children, the world would be a better place.

Amazing job! This teacher was not sure who was behind the wheel of this vehicle or what was their agenda. A courtesy person or someone of sound mind who have stopped at the first request. However, this driver ignored requests and the traffic cones until it came to the last line of defense. Unbeknownst to this teacher if there was an alternative motive or just plain inconsideration for the safety of these children, did what it took to get the vehicle to stop before harm could be caused to any child. The teachers followed protocol by asking her to stop, again when this teacher alerted her with the wave of his hands. The driver stilll not yielding, therefore the instinct to protect the kids kicked in and he did what was necessary without causing further damage or harm to the situation to get the attention of the driver and have her stop and do the drop of safely and correctly. This is exactly the character of a teacher I would want my children’s lives to be entrusted with.
