This teacher selflessly sprang to action to protect the children of his elementary school. The world needs more educators like him in my opinion.

I’m in a whole other state but I would hope my kids have a teacher whose is as dedicated to their safety as this man is. Discipline the driver who mismanages time and endangers other children because she thinks the rules don’t apply to her.

Sounds like the driver should be punished for not yielding to pedestrians in a parking lot.

She was wrong. Period. And if the coach wouldn't have stopped her and she hit a child - not only would the coach be in trouble for not stopping her but YOUR DISTRICT would be in serious trouble.

This teacher had my absolute support, he stood up against a parent who had no respect for the other students and parents time and safety. She made it her business to go around cones and push through a blocked off area. This is ridiculous that he may even get punished for this foolishness. If anyone deserves to deal with consequences it should be that parent.

This teacher is a hero and in no way should he be punished for taking an entitled mother to task for thinking the traffic rules don’t apply to her. Looks like he did what he had to in order to get the mother to obey the rules. The mother is the one that should be reprimanded, not the teacher! Shame on her for thinking the rules didn’t apply to her! Also, shame on her for setting that kind of example for her child!

Please do not discipline him... instead remind him to keep the kids safe by keeping himself safe!

This teacher put the students first! The driver of the car broke the rules and endangered others. She needs the discipline not Coach Young!!!!!

He was protecting children from harm from a woman with an suv and no thought for others and their safety. He risked his own safety to protect little kids.

The parent needs punished, not the teacher. If the parent injured or killed a child, you would be blaming the teacher for not doing enough. Stop this madness and ban the parent from driving on school grounds.

To punish the teacher for following rules and protecting the children is LUDICROUS!! Working at an elementary school for 20 years, I know exactly where this teacher was coming from.......and it was from his heart out of concern for the young students. Parents have gotten so very "It's ALL ABOUT ME", these days.... and Admin backs them up for fear of losing their job. It is SICKENING! I couldn't go on anymore... I HAD to retire. Let's see just where this school district rules.... On the side of the teacher who was following rules..... but most importantly...... protecting the children.......... or.............. kissing the rear-end of some self centered parent who, in this society now of ENTITLEMENT, felt she had the RIGHT to put the children in danger because she was "ALREADY LATE". DO THE RIGHT THING! Rule on behalf of the "student"..... by ruling in favor of the TEACHER!
