Mr. Morgan was protecting his students from a parent who was clearly breaking the rules. He does not deserve to be disciplined.

This teacher was doing his job. As a teacher that has also done this duty, I understand the dangerous situation the parent put everyone in. We need to stop the culture that parents are always right and teachers are wrong. She refused to stop and follow the rules and other staff members directions. With the information he had he did his job and stopped a vehicle from unauthorized areas.

This teacher should be awarded for his actions! How dare she think it is ok to break the rules. Potentially putting children's lives at risk, because her child is late. And she didn't listen to the other teacher or pay attention to the cones?! In my opinion he is hero!

All the way from Canada here and I absolutely admire what this teacher did to send a message to this parent and others about the importance of safety during pick up and drop off. You and your children are no more important than the next. Being late is the least of your worries when you disregard protocol in school zones.

The parent should have consequences, not the teacher. She broke the rules and feels that the rules do not apply to her. If she gets away with driving around cones and around staff telling her to stop, it tells students it is ok and they don’t have to follow the rules.

This teacher should be commended for doing whatever it takes to protect children. Rita had clearly already passed other areas blocked by cones.
