We need hero’s like this who are willing to pay their lives and safety on the line to protect our children in our schools. This man went above and beyond to assist in ensuring the safety of the children at the Elementary School. He should have placed her under citizens arrest for violating: Texas Transportation Code, Sec. 545.423. Crossing Property. (a) An operator may not cross a sidewalk or drive through a driveway, parking lot, or business or residential entrance without stopping the vehicle. (b) An operator may not cross or drive in or on a sidewalk, driveway, parking lot, or business or residential entrance at an intersection to turn right or left from one highway to another highway. Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 165, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1995.

This teacher did what he felt necessary at the time and should not receive more than a verbal warning for his behavior. The driver of the vehicle was totally out of line and did not follow his instructions at all and blatantly disregarded the safety of others in the area.

As a fellow educator, you do what you feel you have to do to protect our children. If this lady had ran over a child, then there would be lawsuits for failure to protect. He deserves no punishment!

As a fellow teacher, I have been yelled at, threatened, almost run over, and complained about to my principal all in the name of child safety in the drop off/ pick up line. No teacher should get in trouble for doing what’s right to protect the children. That Mom was totally in the wrong and she knows it, but she didn’t want to be inconvenienced.

He is a hero for trying to protect the children. Isn’t that what teachers are for to teach and protect the children! That woman was not obeying the traffic pattern and should be fined!

This man did everything to protect and enforce the safety procedures at that school. I have seen parents in car lines that refuse to obey traffic rules because it inconveniences them. Her behavior was unacceptable and what she was saying in the video shows that she was not at all a victim.

Mr. Morgan should be being praised for his dedication & willingness to put himself in harms way to protect children. I am disgusted & appalled that we even need a petition.

Every teacher knows that poor planning on your part (in this case, the parent) does not constitute an emergency (cutting through a school) on my part (teacher on duty).
