People who feel entitled and act as if the rules don't apply to them are not the victim. The parent in this case was absolutely in the wrong. Her actions could have resulted in injury to a child. this teacher was fulfilling his responsibility to protect the children of this school. This was probably bot the first time this parent acted in this manner. just the first time she was called out for her actions. The teacher should not be punished. The parent should!

Administration needs to begin to support their teachers! We are the backbone of the school. What message are you sending by suspending a teacher for vehemently protecting his kids but giving in to the ridiculous demands of a parent who was putting those kids at risk?!?

Shame on you for not backing a teacher trying to protect his kids. A parent willfully put small children at risk because her high school age child couldn’t walk across the street? Disgraceful that there is even a dialogue about this man doing the right thing.

Holding parents responsible for rules and guidelines established for the safety of everyone is the right thing to do. Unfortunately, the message gets muddled when entitled adults get media attention.
