If you discipline him, the woman in the wrong (you don’t know who you’re playing with) will be vindicated for disobeying school policy. Go ahead and name that elementary a parkway after this woman. She’s so entitled.

If the district is even thinking of punishing this man, SHAME ON THEM! This woman could have been drunk, intending to hurt kids... or perhaps she thinks she is above the rules. This teacher is a hero and may have prevented tragedy!

This young man should not be punished for protecting the children!! She was not following rules and therefore she should be punished!! If this was a high school student cutting the parking lot the outcome would be different I'm sure!!

I stand with Mr. Aaron Morgan! Thank you for taking the action to protect those children and shame on that mom for thinking the rules don't apply to her. And shame on the news for twisting the story one way!

THANK YOU for putting your own safety on the line for the protection of those children! Rita Trimmer-Ray ignored all of the rules, and I trust that SHE will face the consequences of HER actions, that endangered the children and teachers who were present, because she was running late. -_-

This teacher is a hero! I've been a teacher on "car duty" and a grandparent waiting in the school drop off line. Safety of our precious children is an issue. I've witnessed and been frightened by parents doing exactly what Rita did. Because she made the mistake of being late, she put the safety of children and the teachers trying to keep them safe at risk. She, being a former teacher knows better. Shame on her and shame on the news outlets for giving her a forum to call this dedicated teacher "unprofessional". He's the hero and should keep his position.

The driver was way out of line!! I applaud the teacher’s actions at trying to stop her of doing whatever she wanted with no thought to other teachers and kids around her. Shame on the parent for her actions and for believing rules don’t apply to her. The teacher deserves a medal for risking it all for the safety of our kids.

She says it’s “outrageous for a teacher, a professional” to do what he did. I say it’s outrageous, inconsiderate, and a bad example” that she set- as a parent- to not get her daughter there in time and then to put other children at risks thinkjng she can just ignore the safety cones- because she was too irresponsible to get her daughter to school on time- or somehow thinks those cones and safety measures only apply to other people! She’s the outrageous one. Pathetic.

I’m tired of parents flaunting the safety of others because they are in a rush. This mother says it’s “outrageous for a teacher, a professional” to do what he did. I say it’s outrageous, inconsiderate, and a bad example” that she set- as a parent- to not get her daughter there in time and then to put other children at risks thinking she can just ignore the safety cones- because she was too irresponsible to get her daughter to school on time- or somehow thinks those cones and safety measures only apply to other people! She’s the outrageous one. Pathetic.

Did the teacher jump on the hood. Yes. Did she stop driving while he was on the hood. No. I see it as she broke the rules, ignored two traffic controllers who are in charge of children's safety. Most importantly she didn't care about anyone's safety as she kept driving! The school is lucky to have a teacher dedicated to the safety of all. Now the board needs to decide what happens for the next time someone runs late.
