We support Aaron Morgan, Dulles Elementary School Teacher - Protecting Children at the School House

Please congratulate Mr. Young for putting himself in harms way to protect those children! Thank you for your service to our kids sir.

As a paraprofessional in elementary and middle school I sincerely thank you for putting the children's safety first. You are an amazing teacher and shame on that selfish parent who thinks rules don't apply to her and is teaching her children the same. Thank you sir for being amazing!

Kudos to the teacher. The woman should have been reprimanded by the school district not apologized to.

To actually consider punishing this teacher is crazy. This mother had no concern for the younger children at this school and because she nor her teenage daughter effectively manage time tried to cut into areas they didn’t belong! This is absurd. If anyone need disciplinary action taken against them it is the driver not the teacher!

Give that man a cape!

I am a parent and an educator . I totally agree with this teacher. He was protecting his children. Hey is the type of hero that would block the door if a gunman was in the building.

He needs to be rewarded and not punished.

She is in the wrong. He was protecting the lot that kids pass in and looking out for people like her the rule breakers just so she's not late she's going to rush thru a elemetay drop off line really ! We need teachers like him. Its hee today and 20 next week knowing its allowed Pssst

Teachers like this are hero’s. I drive a school bus and see some of the most ridiculous things in the parking lot and on the street when trying to get students to school. If you don’t want to deal with school buses and lines, find out the timeline of school buses and leave 15 minutes before that. Or follow the rules and be patient.

I hope the administration has the sense to commend Mr Morgan for his actions, rather than to penalize him for them. Rita Trimmer Ray's conduct was unconscionable; and were it not for Mr Morgan, the story might not have been about a teacher jumping on a car, but about a woman who killed a child because she thought that her needs usurped the school's safety rules.

There should be no adverse repercussions for him protecting the lives of children!

This teacher could have possibly saved a child from being hurt or worse that day by doing what he did. How do you protect children from someone who will not stop? By doing excatly what coach young did! He should not be punished for being a hero! If only every school had teachers like him! I know as a parent i would feel at ease having someone like mr young warching over my children.

I'd want that coach at any school my niece and nephews attended! Thank you Coach!

The parent is NOT a victim! She possibly could have committed vehicular homicide had he not been so adamant about her willful disregard of the safety measures in place.

He should NOT be punished for potentially saving a child’s life from a rule breaker! If he didn’t do his job and something tragic happened it would’ve been he didn’t care. So don’t punish him for caring. He could be my child’s teacher. She’s one of the problems children are in danger. She said he job was more important than these ELEMENTARY school kids. Disgusting!

Rules apply to everyone! Rita should have left on time if she wanted her daughter at school on time. Coach Young is a rockstar!

This teacher was not out of line. His job is to protect the students at any cost and he did so. He protected these children from the driver that is playing the victim.

I hope he is only on suspension until the case is reviewed, then reinstated. Car rider lines are crazy busy with entitled people.
