When society starts punishing people that are following the rules and rewarding people that don’t… That’s just anarchy and good luck with that if you condone it

There are consequences for breaking the rules and cutting through barricades.

The mom broke the rules, the teacher should not be getting in trouble for that!

I completely support this teacher! He is actually stepping up and protecting our students! Parents disregard rules and regulations completely ignore the safety of every other student because of their perceived entitlement. Kudos to this teacher to protecting our students! Cones are there for a reason- perhaps she needed to go back to drivers ed!

This is outrageous! The parent is the one that needs the disciplinary action taken against her! Not Coach Young!

This young man was doing his job to protect our kids and he should not be vilified in any way. If he had done nothing and the driver had been someone who meant harm to the schools and kids, instead of an inconsiderate, self absorbed person, then everyone would be up in arms because he did nothing to stop it. Everyone knows she was wrong and she knows it, too. He stepped up and did what was right by our kids and FBISD, so FBISD needs to step up and do right by him.

The lady admitted several times she was running late.... She broke the rules. If everyibw running late broke the rukes what would happen? The teacher was nearly trying to uphold his responsibility & keep the students safe. There should be NO QUESTION of who is right & wrong here. Does someone have to get killed for her to understand the reason there is drop off protocol?
I think this teacher should be relieved of morning duty forever. I don't even know him, but sounds as if he's MORE than paid his dues.

The mom is NOT the victim! She has to follow the rules like everybody else. This teacher deserves a raise!

The teacher should not be disciplined for doing his job. The parent knew they were late and tried to shortcut through an elementary school drop off area. The parent not only went around one set of cones, but tried to go around a second set of cones with adults at both places telling her no she is not allowed. What would have happened to the teacher(s) if the parent had hit someone? So the teacher would be in trouble for not stopping the car and they are to get in trouble for preventing a tragedy and doing their job? That just isn't right.
