Parents need to commit to following the rules. Our children’s safety is at risk, and elitist attitudes still seem to think they’re above the regulations. I hope the school district supports this teacher and there are consequences for any parent who puts themselves ahead of student safety.

While Coach Young chose an unorthodox way of getting the driver’s attention her blatant disregard for anyone else’s needs beyond her own is reprehensible. Today we see so many educators quitting because of parents like her and administrators who don’t support their staff.

This teacher ward doing his job to protect the students. He would he held responsible if she hit a student while driving around others trying to stop her and traffic cones protecting the area. She should be ticketed.

As a teacher, I applaud this man. He takes the seriousness of protecting those in his care seriously. This woman was self-centered and careless. Thank God no child was injured.

The only discipline this teacher should receive is a raise and extra time off for outstanding job performance!!

I have a hard time understanding why you would discipline him. That mother was CLEARLY in the wrong . CLEARLY. Her time was more important than the safety of the children? I don't THINK SO!! She was unprepared to get her child to school on time. Her actions of skirting rules (and cones) were clear illustrations of someone who thinks the rules DO NOT apply to her. This kind of behavior CANNOT be rewarded!!!! Not only are you making her believe she was in the right, but also, you are teaching the kids in your district that her behavior is acceptable. Have a discussion with him. Use it as teachable moment. But discipline him? And let Her get away with her very foolish dangerous, and SELFISH behavior? NO! NO TO BOTH.

He was keeping the children safe from people trying to cut through the parking lot with many children walking alone. Keep him at school. Be proud of him!

The fact that this man was willing to jeopardize his own safety to ensure a safe environment for the students is commendable. He deserves recognition not discipline. Support these kind of wonderful teachers!
