We support Aaron Morgan, Dulles Elementary School Teacher - Protecting Children at the School House

This brave young man was doing what he thought needed to be done to protect children and stop blatant disregard of no-access areas. He may have acted rashly, but he did so for all the right reasons, and the mother's absolute lack of remorse for violating regulations and putting students in danger does not entitle her to any gratification for her selfish, arrogant tirade.

I am a teacher as well and I think he did the right thing. The lady was totally out of line!

Teachers should not be disciplined for protecting children. We can’t always blame the teacher and allow parents to do whatever they want. She broke the rules- if she didn’t want to go around again, her daughter has two feet and could have just walked from there.

This teacher was just trying to protect the students. He did not harm anyone and put himself in danger to protect children. In my eyes he is a hero.

This teacher should be commended for doing his job and not punished for stopping a parent who felt “entitled” to break the rules.

He was protecting the students

This type of event would allow me to be more comfortable sending my kids to this school. Knowing that teachers will do what it takes to protect my kids... I can't appreciate that enough.

As a Teacher at an Elementary School who does year round Lead Car Line duty I completely support his decision in doing what he thought would get the vehicle to stop before any students were in harms way.

We need teachers like him. The action he took was done so he could protect the children from potential danger. He put the children first. He is a hero in my eyes and of many others.

The mother was in the wrong going around cones that are meant to protect students. If she was running late it was her own fault. I Do not think the teacher should be punished for trying to protect elementary students.

It is so disheartening that a man who was protecting his students is being punished.
