This man should be commended for putting himself in harm's way to prevent the possibility of a child getting run over.

Parent was in the wrong. Teacher should not be punished.

The teacher was definitely not in the wrong, the parent was! She broke the rules trying to cut traffic despite being told twice that she could not, and got upset when her violation was called to attention. Rules are set for a reason! These rules in the car drop off area for children was set for the children’s protection. Thankfully the teacher stepped in when he did because she could have potentially hit a child all while breaking the rules because she was late.

This teacher deserves a raise..he went above and beyond to ensure the safety of those kids..who did that lady think she was, to think that rules don't apply to her?? And the school district had a problem with him on her hood, yet it was no issue that this lady was STILL DRIVING WITH SOMEBODY ON HER HOOD...it's time that entitled parents be put in their place..and Rita, you know you are dead wrong for what you did, and now that man could possibly lose his job, because you couldn't leave a few minutes earlier, and decided to risk other people's safety..how shameful

Please do NOT discipline this man! I am a mother of 3, we are currently at Fort Bliss. I wish a teacher would be as outgoing and dedicated to safety as this man was! If he did not do what he did she could have killed a child!!!

Give him a medal, people need to follow rules. That’s how careless mistakes and accidents happen!!!

Many times and regardless of what district it is, parents can be the root of the problem instead of contributing solutions to school issues. Many parents strongly believe they are above all faculty and staff and can do whatever negative thing they choose to regardless of whom is affected by their actions or words. As an educator and school interventionist in a separate district, I’ve personally seen/heard numerous instances where parents parade in and around schools doing as they please, not caring about anyone else (adult or child), but their own. Mr. Morgan did what he thought was right at that particular time, for he has minimal experience, and was more than likely only thinking of the school policies and procedures that are in place at his campus, in addition to the utmost concern, which was the safety of all children and parents. For this, he should NOT be reprimanded to a severe degree, such as firing and non-renewal contract.

His actions could have saved children’s lives and he doesn’t deserve any kind of penalty! I wish teachers at my children’s school would take car pool safety this seriously! I’ve seen so many near misses that I’m afraid to go through that lane after school, so I park. (Notice, I park in a STALL not in the carpool lane, which is one of the things that causes these issues too!)

This entitled woman tried to drive in blocked off area. She could have hit and killed a small child. She ignored 2 teachers who tried to wave and direct her away. Might be that he acted without thinking by jumping on the car. But his actions were for the protection of the children. In the wake of incidents at schools where kids are hurt, are we, as a country, asking teachers to protect kids at all costs and even with their very lives? The teacher was calm, even as the parent KEPT DRIVING forward with him on the hood. The parent needs some charges. The teacher deserves an award!!!!
