The driver was the one in the wrong on this incident. The driver was cutting thur the area to drop off a high school student at Dulles High, a student that is not even zoned to Dulles high. The driver should have gone the correct way amd left early enough to get there rather than endangering everyone by not obeying the traffic cones out into place by Dulles Elementary

62234. I may be from Illinois, but with a high schooler and Jr high student, I’ve done my share of morning drop offs... enough that I know the woman driving was a danger to both the elementary aged students and the teacher. I applaud the coaches actions, however unusual, to protect the children in his care.

As a parents and a teacher, this man did what any other teacher would have done! Anything to protect these kids! This women, Rita, is entitled and was in the complete wrong. He deserves an award, not to lose his job.

Clearly the parent was at fault and I sincerely believe he was just doing his job! Safety first ... and in his case by all means necessary..no one was harmed and clearly her decision to ignore the initial two teachers show an escalation of negative behavior, that requires a higher level of intervention.. the parent needs to accept responsibility for breaking the rule at the expense of and to others! I support this teacher!

I agree with what he had done he put his own self in danger to protect kid's. Cone's are put out for a reason she had no business going around them. Big deal if you was running late deal with the consequences of not getting up in time and leaving to make sure you are on time.

Our kids spend more of their day with these individuals than they do you in the end of it all if they wouldn't protect them like their own they are in the wrong career.

He deserves a raise not firing. He's protecting kids. The patent should be ticketed. She admits to cutting corners because she was late. Follow the rules parent. And we wonder why kids act or like they do.... Look at the parents

SHE should be ashamed of herself. She said he was the second to stop her and she still didn’t follow the rules!! We wonder why these kids have no respect for rules because their parents don’t and this lady just showed it. Good job sir!!!
