As a kindergarten teacher, I commend him for his efforts to protect those children. So many kids will bolt out around cars and never even think there is a danger in this world. I am glad he took those children’s lives seriously! Parents trust us to keep their kids safe.

This parent needs to recognize that she was not following the rules and this young man was doing his job keeping the drop off going smoothly and children safe.

This man isn't in the wrong. There's a protocol for a reason. When rushing you put others in danger.

As a fellow educator in our current world of threatened safety of our students, I completely understand this teacher’s actions. Parents don’t get to pick and choose what rules they will follow, especially when the safety of our students is at stake. This educator is a hero, and this parent is clearly at fault. I am appalled at how this reporter chose to let this parent on the air as if she were the wronged party here.

This man deserves a cape! His actions to keep the children in his care safe and his refusal to react when goaded do him and your school credit. (besides, how cool would the kids think their teacher is if he greeted them in a cape every morning?)

Not saying I would have jumped on the car, but I understand.
