We support this teacher! I'd do the same thing if it meant one less child being hurt!

Awesome conduct by a brave teacher preventing possible catastrophe. The cones weren’t there for that woman to drive through!

In no way is he wrong. I have three children and have had to obey school rules for 23 years. Even if I disagreed sometimes, children's safety comes first.

Entitled people do not deserve special treatment or special apologies. We need to stand together to stand for what is right. Raise the bar!

The parent was completely wrong! I've been an educator for 18 years. The teacher at the MOST should receive a verbal reprimand. There is no way this teacher should be fired or suffer ANY financial hardship! The parent should be fined!

It is thoroughly unacceptable that this parent chose to break the rules and then bash this teacher. The teacher was attempting to protect the students and staff against a parent that had no regard for the safety of other people. Her only concern was to get "her" child to school on time. His concern was for every child, parent and staff member at that elementary. He should be applauded for his actions at taking a stand against entitled people endangering others.

As a teacher, I have seen actions such as Rita’s all too often. Instead of getting up earlier or taking the consequences for being late, people like Rita endanger the lives of our children and the employees charged to protect t them because they make selfish decisions. Punishing your employee and Rita walking away from this without punishment is criminal. How else could he have gotten her attention? What if a life had been taken? Surely he would hang for not doing his job. He DID his job, and went above and beyond, and in so doing has made school drop off safety a hot button topic. That’s a win.
Give him extra duty as a punishment if needed, but please do not terminate his employment.

The school board should ever have suspended him for going above and beyond the job asked of him. It should be erased from his record and a commendation put in its place.

Entitlement is a serious problem for today's society. Thank you Mr. Morgan for enforcing the RULES.

That woman is an entitled woman. She should be on time and wait like everyone else and not endanger other people's kids. We need more teachers like this man!

The driver should be banned from school property for two weeks and the teacher honored for his action to save other kid’s lives.
