Why are we considering punishment for this mans actions? The mother who chose to break the rules and put kids lives in danger is who we should be looking at. My kids start public school this next year and I pray that the staff has the heart that this man does. Hats off to you Coach Young.

He deserves recognition for his acts of selflessness and heroics. Teachers should defend children at all costs for shootings but not being run over by a non law abiding parent. How does that work?

As a title aide I completely understand where this teacher was coming from. It only takes a student a second to dart into a coming car. How would people be ridiculing him if heaven forbid a child would have stepped in front of her while she was "cutting through"? He's a hero in my opinion.

As a school bus driver, this guy went above and beyond the call of duty and should not be punished. Rita should be punished.

Mr. Morgan was forced to take the necessary step to make the driver aware of the mistake that she was making and get her to be aware of her ignorance for the safety of the children in Mr. Morgan's school.

This teacher should not be reprimanded for protecting children from a errant driver who clearly does not understand that traffic cones are there to prevent people from cutting through. She needs to learn to be responsible. If she is late it’s her fault and she should not endanger others just to save time.

I’m a 30 year veteran teacher now retired and I encourage support for this young man who had every reason to try to keep Rita from breaking through clearly blocked off areas!! I further support Fort Bend ISD in sending a clear message to students that rules are made to protect them and must be adhered to at all costs.
