The teacher did what he had to do to stop a mom who thought she was more important than everyone else and cared more about herself than the safety of the kids.

It is okay for school admin to side with their teachers and against a parent who is in the wrong. Support your teachers. Just because the parent is loud does not mean she is right.

If this parent had a gun or hit a child you would expect him to do above his duties to protect. I think he did the right thing.

He's amazing. Professional. Going above and beyond the call of duty to protect the children at that school. Rita should be fined for child endangerment. She admitted all her wrong doing and Fox and the school she be ashamed they didn't support that brave man. Putting his life at risk to ensure the safety of the children. She was warned to stop and she continued.

This teacher had more rights on protecting theses students he put his life on the line not thinking if this lady would run him over she was already going short cuts when there were blocked what would happen if a student was walking thru there this lady had no rights she needs to be on time taking her daughter to school

As an alumnus of Dulles High School, I'm in total support of Coach! God bless him for keeping those elementary students safe. Having a student hit and killed by a car driven by a parent who feels entitled to break the rules is not a pretty sight...and not a vision that ever goes away.

This man is a HERO! I work for my local school district and see the importance of morning traffic patterns and following the rules. Numerous children have been struck by cars in the next county over while catching a school bus or walking to school and a few children died from their injuries and these tragedies can be avoided by following the rules! This man stands up for all children against entitled narcissistic people who break the rules because they think they're more important than everyone else. She should be charged for entering restricted school areas with the same consequences as one who runs through a school bus stop sign. She should be punished for endangering both the children and the staff. Kudos to the teacher!!! He did an exemplary job!!!

Leave this man Alone. He was doing his job, protecting the little kids. That Rita woman was showing what cheaters do. She has showing her daughter it’s ok to cheat behind the wheel. What’s going to happen when her Teenage kid gets his or her license and starts driving themselves to school? They are going to think that it’s OK to cut through the parking lot all the time, and what if they hit a little kid? Coach Young is a hero

Do not punish the Teacher. If it’s true 2 children have been hit then he was reacting to the pain and suffering of the kids he educated and clearly protects. Shame on you, for not backing your teachers. This parent is in the wrong!
