This teacher should receive an award for putting the childrens’ safety ahead of his own and Rita should have been ticketed for not stopping and endangering the lives of children and the teacher.

The man deserves a raise not administrative action. My children would be lucky to have a teacher willing to go through such lengths to keep them safe!

Mom of 5, I support his actions. How was he to know she was not intending to do harm! I wish we had more teachers like him! And I wish we had some at our school!

I fully support this man and all he did to protect his students. He was fully in the right and that parent should be ashamed for calling him and the District out like that on the news. She was NOT the victim here.

It is outrageous to think that the teacher would be disciplined for stopping a parent that is clearly breaking the rules and endangering lives. This action only reinforces this parent's behavior and encourages other parents to do the same. Expect more parents to cut around the cones in the future since there were no repercussions for Ms. Ray.
