I would be thrilled to have this type of person teaching my children. This woman owes Mr Morgan & every other teacher an apology. She thought the rules didn't apply to her, she was special because she was running late. Wrong! She put other lives as risk for her own selfish needs. Bravo to Mr Morgan for attempting to stop her & teach her a lesson. Shame on the media outlets for spinning in this in any other way. Because you know this selfish woman contacted them to try & play victim. The school should applaud his actions for trying to keep the children safe.

Within the last year we have had 5 students DIE from getting struck going to school, coming from school and one five year old in the carpool line. Unbelievable how SELFISH the mom was for not seeing where she was WRONG. Rules are set in place to PROTECT our kids. Better to be late to work Rita, than harm a child and the families that trust the school staff that are keeping your kids safe. The fact that this made it on television as "news" in favor of Rita would have me questioning the integrity of the news station.

I feel as though he did what he felt was necessary for the safety of the children and to totally get her attention after her being told she could not go through or around. There's too many children being hurt or killed due to the carelessness of wreckless drivers failing to obey the rules. I don't feel he did anything wrong and if she is pushing for any sort of reprimand for his action she should be punished for hers as well. For every action there's a reaction

This teacher did what he needed to do to protect his students. If punitive action should be taken, it should be against Rita. She should be criminally charged with reckless endangerment for continuing to drive in an area clearly marked and disregarding the verbal warnings.

Keep him as teacher. He provided a teachable moment to the community, the mother, and all other parents around that have witnessed the video. Though his actions might be perceived as wrong, if a child crossed the road she was driving on, while rushing to her location this would of been an entirely different news segment everyone would be watching.

This parent was out of line and putting children's safety in jeopardy because she was running late which is unacceptable. She was flagged and told no and she thought she was special and would ignore that warning...absolutely not!!! Rules are rules and there for a reason. This man did what he had to do in the heat of the moment to protect his kids and I'd want my kid with him knowing he would do this to protect my kid any day of the week! God bless him and please don't punish him for a parent who feels so entitled to want to make up her own rules.

I would be proud to have this teacher protecting my children. Fully support him. The mom was totally in the wrong and shame on the news for giving this woman any air time.

The mother should be fined, I have a 6 year and it is very chaotic in the car riders line, her principal would have done the same thing!!!

That woman was an absolute nut case because she’s running late she decides she’s going to break every single rule set in place by this elementary school that her child didn’t even go to, and then be mad because one teacher in a very unconventional way decided to prevent her from further taking the stupid actions that she already was they kept telling her to get out to turn back out and she continue to ignore them and to reprimand this teacher for trying to do his job despite the fact that this woman with a highschooler in her car is doing the exact opposite of what she needs to do

I stand with the teacher. When he jumped on the hood of her car he had no real idea what the driver was up to! With all the school shootings and attacks you must be pro-active for the children. The mother/driver thought she was above the law and rules because she was running late! To damn bad. I'm sick of people who think they are entitled, and have their own agenda! Charge the driver, she clearly ignored and broke the law. Poor example of a parent!

What he did was heroic. She put children's lives in danger and he did the only thing he could think of to do to stop her. She was way out of line. Thank you, Mr. Morgan.
