The parent was completely out of line in this case. Punishing the coach will send a very bad message.

This teacher took action when all else failed. The safety of the children was obviously his number one priority, or he wouldn’t have felt the need to do what He did. I thank him for going above and beyond.

That Mother was completely wrong!!! In my neighborhood Thierry are a ton of children that walk to school and ride bikes and taking short cuts because you couldn’t leave your house on time like a responsible adult could cause potentially life threatening injuries to any one of the child walking on the street which is way there are cones and lines. Follow them, just like you would any other street sign.

This teacher did what he felt was required in the moment. The driver, Rita, is appalled and says, "What if a student did that? He'd be in a lot of trouble.". Maybe. But if a student drove around cones to save himself time in the morning and hit a child, guess what? That child would be in even more trouble.

If hes willing to jump in front of a moving car to protect his kids, that alone makes him a great teacher. Any kid would be lucky to have him as a teacher. Its crazy that her being late makes her feel entitled to go around cones and drive recklessly. She admits that she knew she shouldnt, but wants to cry about how unfair it was, he was the one riding around on someones hood! Try being on time next time, and seriously keep this guy as a teacher!

Student safety is a priority. Coach did what he thought was best to stop the mom who tried to cut through! The mom should be questioned why she thought she had all the right to ignore safety rules. She's thinks rules dont apply to her!

This teacher was doing his duty in protecting the children. This woman was in the wrong. Although his strategy was unorthodox, it was necessary as her blatant disregard to requests continued to put others at risk.
