Teacher was totally in the right! People need to be less in a hurry, give themselves more time, and not try to cheat. Kid’s safety is a priority, not Rita’s late daughter.

He should be commended for taking a stand! He cares about the kids at that school, and was willing to take action when he saw something wrong.

This parent disregarded the safety rules. If that was done on the highway, the police would be ticketing her for reckless driving. The teachers are there to PROTECT the children at all cost.

I wish I could give five this teacher! There have been so many kids getting hit by cars in school zones because of the Ritas of the world thinking the rules don’t apply to them! Please don’t discipline this guy! He probably saved a child from getting hit by this woman! #stayinyourownlanerita

If yall get rid of this teacher for setting an example-showing a GROWN ADULT they cant cut a line....might as well throw out the whole "drop off line" mentality because they will all do whatever they want. Keep the teacher and tell the mom not to do it again. Set an EXAMPLE. Her time is no more important than anyone else waiting in that line!!!

If people would just follow procedures, extreme actions like this would not have to happen. Unfortunately we live in a society where undividuaks constantly find themselves above the law. B

I am a teacher and habe the displeasure of having to deal with parents during arrival and dismissal duty daily. The verbal abuse by parents directed at teachers who are there to PROTECT THEIR CHILDREN has gotten to the point where our school has had to hire a sheriff’s deputy to monitor our parking lots and direct traffic during these hours for the safety of the staff. Parents who do not follow the rules and disrespect teachers and staff raise children who think they do not have to follow the rules or respect people in authority. It takes a teacher fighting back to bring to light the inappropriate parent behaviors that school staff have to endure every day.

Teacher hero should no be punished.

This parent should have known better then to try and go around traffic by driving through an elementary school. I bet she wont do that again. This man did his job. A little out of the box but I bet she will think twice next time.
