We support Aaron Morgan, Dulles Elementary School Teacher - Protecting Children at the School House

How dare you side with that lunatic! Coach Young did what he felt he had to do in the moment to protect his kids. He wasn't hostile, he wasn't abusive. She was wrong and wasn't stopping. It's insanity to discipline him.

I support him because I have witnessed the repeated audacity of parent in the car line!

I am sure this is not the first time the teachers have watched Rita take her short cut though the elementary school because she was late. Maybe this will stop it from happing again and save a kids life, because of her reckless behavior.

You are a hero!

This teacher was amazing. He stopped the entitled parent from harming any kids. He should be thanked and Rita should be given a ticket with a hefty fine. She admitted she cut through a parking lot, ignored officials waiving her to stop, and went around cones.

Kudos to this teacher for keeping his kids safe! This parent set a horrible example for her child by teaching her that rules can be broken if they inconvenience us. She was told not to enter— she saw the cones, a teacher told her not to enter, and she honestly believed that she was entitled to break the rules that exist to keep kids safe during drop off— because following the rules would have required her to endure the natural consequence arising from her own lateness. Shame on this mother, shame on the news outlets that painted her as a victim. Glad there are teachers willing to put their safety on the line for the safety of their kids.

This teacher deserves accommodation not reprimands!

This teacher did the best he could to try and stop a child from getting harmed. The woman clearly did not care to follow rules and would not stop. She didn’t even stop when he was on her car. Please, please do not punish a dedicated teacher because an entitled parent decided to break the rules.

This teacher didn't do anything wrong. Small children were in danger and he did what he had to do to stop the danger. Rita made a very selfish judgement call and ignored the teachers and orange cones which forced such drastic measures.

He is a hero.

I support him 100%. I only hope a teacher is this concerned for the safety of my child!

This is an AMAZING teacher!

Mr. Morgan should be rewarded rather than punished. Realize had she hit a child, the district would be liable.

We need more hero teacher like him.

I am in full support of this teacher protecting the children and trying to correct a parents bad behavior. Shame on this school system for supporting a mother who behaved so badly and set such a poor example for her children. This is exactly why we have self entitled children in our society.

This guy deserves a raise and could possibly teach others how to stand up against bullies and reckless individuals such as Rita!

I wasn't there to witness what happened but this lady went through cones designated to stop traffic for the safety of the children. Running late is no excuse to put the safety of anyone, especially children at risk. Her lack of planning to get her kid to school on time does to not constitute and emergency or (special treatment) on the part if the school. Shame on you Rita. Bring and entitled brat is no way to act. I 100% support this teacher here. It be honored to have him be my kids teacher.
