We support Aaron Morgan, Dulles Elementary School Teacher - Protecting Children at the School House

Lots of details not knowm, but at this time, Coach Young does not deserve to be fired. Rita Trimmer-Ray should recieve all fines and punishments including endangering the publilc by her own admission. School or local authorities should likely press charges.

The safety of our children is most important!!

I support the confrontation... if anyone should be held responsible, it should be the driver and the administration/district for allowing the driver to bypass the cones

There are rules for a reason, namely the protection of the elementary school students and staff. The parent was acting self entitled to think that just because she was running late this justified her breaking the rules that every parent needs to follow. I applaud the teacher for standing up to her. He got her attention—he did not use violence, didn’t destroy property, but he didn’t just let her proceed through as I’m sure she would likely have ignored him had he not done what he did. And done it again the next time she was late. And other parents running late could easily have followed suit. The cones were up, she drove around, had two warnings from staff she ignored as she proceed to drive around—she was at fault. Not this teacher (who, again, used no violence or destruction of property to make his point. Just got her attention and refused to have the rule disregarded by her.)

Good for him he was protecting the kids and it's her fault for not obeying the law , could you imagine how it would be if everyone was taking short cuts . She was endangering the children by going around the cones they are there for a reason

Mr. Morgan was doing his job. If she had hit and killed a kid, no amount of "I'm sorry or I didn't mean to " will bring them back. She may even need a citation for reckless driving. No excuses!! Our children's safety comes first.

Seriously...this lady was completely in the wrong!! Hand that man a medal.

The parent in the car put everyone at risk and should be fined. The teacher deserves a thank you.

We all have to follow rules or we have chaos. He shouldn't be punished in any way for trying to do the right thing. She was at fault, not him

I believe the parent in this situation should be sited for putting children at risk and even admitted to ignoring the cones and other teachers telling her to stop. What this teacher did was heroic protecting the children. Shame on whoever thinks this teacher should be punished.

This teacher should not be disciplined for this. He was protecting children from a 2000lb or more weapon. If it had been a gun he would have been praised for his actions. Most important thong here is he was trying to protect the children.

This teacher is a hero. He risked his life to stop this vehicle not knowing if she was going to run over some kids. How dare this woman and the media treat her like she's a victim.

I would hope the teachers at my sons school would do the same to keep my son safe.

Don’t discipline a hero. I’m a dad and I’d want him to do the same for my kid’s elementary school.
