As a school bus driver I see parents dropping kids off at places all the time that are not for student drop offs. There are a lot of close calls because of moms like this who think they are the exception to the rule but they aren’t they are the reason the rule even exists. Thank you sir for standing up for these kids and doing the right thing even though it gets you this crazy attention. Thank you for your hard work & service to your community

The parent was in the wrong. He was doing an excellent job of protecting children. He should be teacher of the year! The woman was out of line!

Rita was wrong in trying to go around comes thru the elementary so she can cut through to go to the high school because SHE WAS RUNNING LATE!!

I would want this man protecting my own children from a women who is simply in a hurry and doesn’t care about my kids all because she doesn’t want to wait in line. He did nothing but what he was assigned to do. It might have been what people see as over the top but she passed cones and employees. Clearly she wasn’t going to listen and he did what he had to do to keep those kids safe. She could’ve been a predator for all he knew. He deserves not only his job but a freaking award.

How dare a school or anyone try to discipline the man that went above and beyond the call of duty to protect the children. Rita should have been ticketed for driving through a road block and putting children in danger!

This man was doing his job in stopping a unreasonable, rude and inconsiderate from endangering the children of that elementary school. This man needs a descent bonus check for his heroic actions! Reida (who cut the line) needs to be fined for endangering children!

As a teacher of little ones I can put myself in this man's shoes and say no matter how ridiculous I'd look I'd probably jump on the hood of a car if someone was driving recklessly in a school zone and endangering the children. That woman should receive a ticket at the least. Let this man keep his job as we now more than ever need teachers who are this protective over their students. I wish the best for him.

I think he did what needed to be done, and the teachable moment should be with the "victim". This is the guy I'd want doing traffic control at my kids school.
