We support Aaron Morgan, Dulles Elementary School Teacher - Protecting Children at the School House

The mom in this situation was rhe one who was clearly out of line. She should be lucky she doesn't get a citation for endangering the lives of tbe children at the elementary school. Kudos to this wonderful, brave, obviously dedicated teacher.

I teach. Those kids are mine when they are at school. She was WRONG and clearly was not following the rules for SAFETY. Hurray for teachers willing to put themselves on the line for their kids...your kids! He wasn't disrespectful and I think he's should be commended.

I am a teacher myself. He did absolutely the right thing and put himself in harms way in order to protect the children under his care. What if she hit a child, everyone would be blaming the teachers for not doing anything. She should be charged with child endangerment and he should get a medal.

Not a parent in this town. But a parent none the less. And I am a school bus driver. Parents do not understand that the rules that we make and our actions are for the safety of their kids as well as everyone elses. Shame on Rita Trimmer Ray.

Rita should also get some sort of driving infraction. Pedestrians have the right of way.

The teacher was only protecting the students That woman was completely in the wrong just because she was late does not give her the right to cut through an elementary school on her way to a high school putting all of elementary school children at risk She was wrong

The actions of this parent were shocking, rude, and entitled. If anyone should be reprimanded, it should be Rita Trimmer-Ray! She is 100% at fault here!

Rita did not belong there. So here's a car that no one knows breaking rules. He did the right thing. She could have been a terrorist of some kind.

He should be commemorated for going above and beyond in his committmet to the defense of those young children, not disciplined. She was in the wrong. She had already ignored one teacher waving and yelling at her that she couldn't go that way, and she was in the process of ignoring this teacher as well. HER behavior was completely unnacceptable. Perhaps you should be standing by your amazingly-committed teacher and, instead, be looking into whether you can press charges against Rita for reckless endangerment or something?

Parent was wrong and possibly saved kids from injury

You are an amazing person and teacher and you did what was right. She was definitely in the wrong and had no right to ignore the rules just because she was late!

This teacher was preventing any dangerous incidents from happening. It’s obvious when Rita gave her statement that she was in the wrong. She had no regards tot he safety of the children. It astounds me the she used to be a teacher.

I commend teachers who are willing to stand up for the protection of the children in their charge.

That lady Rita should be punished and the teacher applauded! The school has had two people killed and now this teacher gets into trouble for trying his hardest to stop an out of line car??? Pls tell me he didn’t get suspended???? Shame on you Rita!!!

This woman was so wrong. Why is she even getting air time?

I am a male elementary school teacher who has had car duty every single morning for the last five years. This man sets a good example and the news station who ran this story should be ashamed of how they portrayed him. He deserves better.
