I live in WI, your story is heroic. Thank you for your service to children, you did an amazing thing. I come from a small town and my kids school as procedures for drop off as well. They have the town cop sit and Patrol the drop-off area to help keep Kids Safe this might be something that you guys want to look into. It's sad that some parents still think about their kid being late is more important then kids lives. Once again thank you for your service.

He was doing his job protecting the children from a lady who think rules don't apply to her had a child gotten hit by that car the story would be child injured after car came through the no drive zone and teachers did nothing to stop it. So good for that teacher not often you see a teacher put there life on the line without hesitation he deserves a metal .

This teacher should not be suspended, a coaching/teachable session instead, the mom disregarded every safety protocol the school had in place for drop off.

Coach Young should be given recognition for his commitment to protecting the children.

This teacher is a hero! He deserves a commendation. His methods were only unorthodox because the orthodox methods had already failed. The teachable moment here is for the parent who put children and teachers in danger because she thought she was above the rules. This teacher risked his life for the safety of his students. Period.

The parent is in the wrong. We have carpool rules for a reason... To keep the kids safe. She should not have been cutting through like that.

Good for him for enforcing the rules, she should be ashamed of her behavior and sense of entitlement. Who is she to endanger other peoples children by driving through a coned area because shes late?? Teacher need our support more than ever, as a parent I see how other parents drive through drop off zones and its disgraceful.

Rita was CLEARLY in the wrong. Risking children's safety because of her poor time management is never okay! Let it be a teachable moment for everyone but don't punish him! We need more educators like him fighting for children and their safety!

This teacher was PROTECTING little children from getting hit by this woman, who thinks rules don't apply to her. I applaud his efforts and he should not be fired for stopping this entitled woman!

That woman Rita put all those elementary kids in danger by trying to take a shortcut ,she is the one who should be reprimanded not Aaron.
