The teacher did nothing wrong! Rita was in the wrong! She feels entitled to do whatever she wants. He was protecting students at his school. If he just let anyone drive through the parking lot, he would be in trouble for not doing his job. Seriously?!?! He should not be punished!

The teacher went above and beyond to try to keep the kids safe. It's the mother driving that needs to be punished. She literally thinks she did no wrong, I think a nice ticket at the least will help her see she's not more important than anyone else there.

He’s protecting children...children don’t all get shot with a gun! Some get run over in school zones by people in too big a hurry to follow the rules! Rules are in place for a reason!!!!!!

Where is the discipline for the parent? So no rules apply If you are running late? This teacher cares about his students and should receive a commendation. The mother should not be allowed to drop off ever again, make her daughter walk or ride the bus like other kids.

That teacher didn't know what the woman was going to do! Was she a safe person? He doesn't know but she's ignored directions twice and is driving in a restricted area. He's protecting his students!

He did his job, no children were harmed thanks to his quick thinking, and I wish he taught my children.

In a school zone rules are there for reason. Follow them!

He's keeping the students safe. She was in the wrong all the way around. If you're running late leave earlier!

Coach Young was in the right and should not be punished for his actions! Fellow teachers need to stick together!

I’m very concerned that a teacher put his own safety to the side to look after his students. Instead of being reprimanded he should be thanked and this parent should be investigated by both the police and child protective services.

I was a teacher for 20 years and once has a parent almost run me over in car line. Safety is imperative. The mother was told multiple times to stop and she didn’t.

The teacher was protecting students. What responsible parent drives around cones, past teachers asking her to stop and thinks she has done no wrong?

This man deserves an award, not discipline.

If this woman were to have injured a child, the school, the district, everyone, would be saying: why didn’t a teacher stop her from driving through here? Well, a teacher stopped her, and now you’re punishing him for it. That is NOT acceptable.

She is in the wrong not him!! If anyone should be punished it is her!!!!
