This man is a hero! He was doing his job! He was keeping those kids safe. If anyone should be in trouble, it's the lady that put the kids in danger.

He was absolutely in the right! So tired of parents thinking it's okay to teach their children to do wrong, and then blame it on another person!

This woman could have had horrible intentions to hurt or kill a student with her vehicle. As parents we expect the teachers to protect our children, by any means. This teacher is a hero for doing so. The school needs to make an announcement that safety is their highest priority, and this woman needs to be penalized for her actions.

I applaud this teacher for trying to keep the kids safe. Rita was totally in the wrong and should be ashamed of herself putting young kids in danger and teaching her high school student that it’s all right to break the rules just cause you’re running late I applaud this teacher for trying to keep the kids safe. Rita was totally in the wrong and should be ashamed of herself putting young kids in danger and teaching her high school student that it’s all right to break the rules just cause you’re running late. Thank goodness this teacher stopped her before Rita hit a child with her car

As a Soecial Ed Para at a highschool and I commend Coach Young's bravery in doing what was right even in a difficult situation! As a parent, I hope my daughter has teachers, coaches, administrators, etc. who are willing to go above and beyond to keep her safe while she is in their care. If they had let Rita go through with the "it's only this one time" mindset, who is to stop her or any other late parent/ guardian from doing this another time? And who is to say that the next time a student wouldn't get injured in the process? Coach Young has my support and I hope his district chooses to be a rock for him to stand on as well.

This teacher did nothing wrong! He did the right thing! Punish the mother for doing what she wasn't supposed to do like going through a group of cones blocking an area off!!

He was in the right. She broke the rules, she had no concern for anyone but herself. Don't want to be late leave earlier!

As a teacher myself, I applaud his actions. You do what you have to do to keep the kids safe, no matter how unorthodox it may be!

Wish there were more teachers in the US willing to put their physical selves on the line for our kids! Stop rewarding entitled brats and punishing the heroes!

This is the kind of educator that I would be more than happy to have at my children's school!

When a parent breaks the rules clearly posted by a sign and traffic cones, she should not just be able to walk away without someone trying to do something.

Without people like Coach Young, you would have more self-entitled drivers going through your restricted zones. I support his decision to protect his students by any means necessary.
