He was protecting his children. She was wrong. He literally threw himself in front of a moving car (that was STILL moving) in the video to protect his students. He should be commended for putting his student’s safety first. The woman is self-centered, entitled and outright wrong.

I work parent pick up and drop off and while I have never been on a hood of a car I did totally start to move in front of one the other day when a kid went after his water bottle that rolled off in front of the line of cars. The parent was paying attention and didn’t move and the student stopped and stayed on the sidewalk, I have had kids try to chase their projects that have blown away in front of buses —-parents don’t understand how scary parent pick up and drop off can be.. my first reaction was to make sure there was....what I am saying is you may think drop off is some silly procedure, annoying, etc. —-the teachers working it are there to make sure every child is safe if you put a kid in any sort of danger they don’t think ..they just act. It is completely wacky to me that the teacher was made out to be a villain. He reacted to protect his students and to get her attention to prevent a major accident. Please follow the rules drivers but also please celebrate that this man’s
First Instinct was to move towards danger to protect the students.

This teacher deserves a commendation not a condemnation. He is a HERO doing what is right. She (Rita), put children's lives in danger with no thought about consequences. She's above the rules because her child was late for school? Shame. What would have happened if a child at the elementary would have been hurt? THANK YOU AARON! For being there and being a teacher!

I think action should be taken against the crazy driver, not the teacher! She admitted to blowing thru another teacher telling her to stop and Mr. Young finally stopped her. No one did anything wrong except her!

Retired teacher here and I’ve done this duty hundreds of times! He deserves a medal for stepping out of his comfort zone and standing up for the safety of those children!

After seeing the prior accidents that have happened in the area, I 100% agree with his actions. Leave earlier in the morning & follow the directions set in place for children’s safety just like everyone else does. He’s just standing up for his students safety!

We need more people like him. I applaud him for what he did. I would be more than grateful if someone did this at the school my niece goes to if something like this happened. Thank you for your dedication!

Please do not reprimand this teacher because what if he did NOT do his job and a student was injured because of this selfish ass woman who thinks that she was better than anyone else to wait in line. I dont give a rats ass that she was running late. She had no business being where she was and doing what she was doing.
She should have charged pressed against HER IF ANYTHING!!!

If someone continues to drive where they shouldn't be driving, ignoring cones and people waving at them to stop... I feel Mr. Morgan was simply doing his job, which is to keep the children safe.

The parent needs to be trespassed from the school as she is a danger to other children while operating a motor vehicle.
