I want to comment Coach Young for being committed to the health and safety of the students and faculty of his school. He is clearly a servant leader knows his personal mission. As someone who has worked many ppu and drop of situations, there is no room for error or second guessing. This educator should be supported and uplifted for making decisions on behalf of the health and safety of our schools.

Mr. Morgan did nothing wrong and should be commended not reprimanded for his actions to keep students safe. That woman was clearly wrong and was told many times to listen to their directions. If she was running late that is her own problem and does not make her above following rules regarding the safety of the children.

If you were ever an elementary teacher in charge of car drop off/pick up you would know why this teacher went to this extreme. She was in a hurry. Thankfully a small child didn’t dart in front of her car. Ugh. It’s just ok to break the rules of safety bc you are in a hurry.

Kids first and parents who run late don’t get special rules (or a freebie to not follow the rules)to cut thru parking lots! You are just that, LATE! Deal with it. The teacher was doing his job and doing a good one at that. If he doesn’t do this to enforce the rules, no one will follow them

Trimmer-Ray was COMPLETELY WRONG and should be fined. She could have seriously injured this man because she was “late” and didn’t want to follow directions. That area is blocked for a reason. If anything you should be giving that man a raise for going the extra mile.

This teacher did nothing wrong. He protected kids. The person getting a fine or licence suspension should be the driver cutting through an elementary school simply because she was running late.

This teacher should be commended for taking action against an out of control parent that was a danger to the elementary students and staff. What kind of example are you setting when a teacher stands up to a bully with no regard for anyone but her own self and then that teacher is punished? What Rita did was WRONG! She is NOT a victim. Aaron did what he was trained to do... protect those kids!! He should not have to be going through this for doing his JOB!!! Tita should have been ticketed for endangering minors!! I stand with Aaron and all educators that do their jobs!!!

Please don’t discipline this teacher. But do discipline the mother, and band her from school property and make her child ride the school bus so that she won’t be late to school again.

The teacher was doing his job. The parent should be given a sanction.

I commend this teacher. Safety of students was his priority. If anything charges should be taken against the mother for not following the rule that are enforced for children’s safety. Clearly she is the one with anger management issues.

This is ridiculous. This teacher did the right thing, parents need to follow rules just like everyone else.

This teacher was protecting students from a parent who thought the rules didn’t apply to her. She wasn’t responding to any other warnings such as the cones she drove around or the vocal request she was given prior to this incident. She even admitted she was in the wrong in her interview.

The mom needs a lesson in rules and safety This teacher did his job above and beyond protecting the kids under his watch.
