This man was doing his job and protecting the children he is responsible for. To fire him would be saying that the children’s safety is not priority. Shame on the county for even considering firing him. The woman deserves to be punished for not following the rules and putting children in danger despite being told multiple times not to drive in the area she was in.

He does not deserve disciplinary action for his actions. He was doing his job and trying to stop someone from driving through a blocked off area and possibly protecting children's lives! Thank you Mr. Young for actually doing your job!!!

I am sick to death of some people thinking that they are so self entitled that they can do anything and if anyone crosses them then it's get the teacher fired get the other person fired. The woman driving the car in this instance was a self entitled piece of crapp. She probably never had to wait her turn in her life and when someone tried to make her even as a young person she probably cried long and loud till she got her way. I think the teachers a hero for not letting people just do willy-nilly things in a school zone. Kudos to the teacher.

This teacher needed this woman to stop to protect his students from her. He did what he felt necessary to protect those students.

We need to show our support of people willing to put themselves on the line to protect the children you promise to protect. That woman was endangering lives for the sake of her own schedule, and he could be punished for upholding YOUR promise to protect these children?

Do not discipline the teacher. The parent was totally disregarding the rules and right in front of her child. What msg.does that send to her child. If the teacher gets reprimanded for enforing the rules then you , just like the parent, are saying all rules can be broken. The mother should apologize.

Been driving thru kiss n ride for 13 years; i think school lots are the most dangerous places we drive and walk due to entitled folks like her.
