The district confirmed tonight that Mr. Morgan will keep his position and face no disciplinary action. My heart is so full knowing that our teacher is safe to return to his classroom because we refused to stay silent. Thank you for protecting the person who protected our kids.

As a community we have witnessed terrible tragedy in or around the school house related to traffic. While Mr. Morgan’s actions may have been unorthodox and may represent a teachable moment - we ask that NO adverse action be taken against this teacher. He clearly was driven out of concern and protection for our children.

A SPECIAL REQUEST - Please do NOT retaliate against Rita Trimmer-Ray or any member of her family. She is a member of our community and NONE of us are perfect. Doing such is extremely dishonoring and takes away/distracts from the incredible positive attributes that are coming from this matter drawing so much attention and creating awareness. Consider adopting the posture that Joseph did when being confronted with his brothers who had greatly wronged him and sold him into slavery. Regardless of your particular faith - GREAT wisdom in that. Our purpose in ALL of this is to protect OUR children. Nothing else.

“But Joseph told them, "Don't be afraid of me. Am I God, to judge and punish you? As far as I am concerned, God turned into good what you meant for evil. He brought me to the high position I have today so I could save the lives of many people.” Genesis 50:19-20

Continue to focus on THE message - follow the directions from our educators in the school zone so that lives can be saved AND protect/defend our educators trying to keep our kids safe.

HUGE THANK YOU TO THOSE SIGNING THIS PETITION, SHARING THIS STORY, AND SPEAKING UP. TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

Thanks in advance and God Bless.

I have spent my mornings watching the carpool line and I see the exact same risks Aaron saw. The district has stayed silent so far but they cannot ignore the flood of emails you are all sending.

Seeing one hundred people come together to defend Mr. Morgan confirms I am not the only one who sees his actions as a desperate attempt to keep our kids safe. This support means the world to everyone who knows his heart.

Aaron stepped onto that car hood because he saw a danger to our kids that the district refuses to acknowledge. We are climbing toward one thousand signatures and I need you to flood the district offices with calls before they decide his fate.

Being a bus driver, I have seen time and again where parents do everything they can to circumvent lines and the like a drop offs, and even pick ups. That a teacher went that extra step to stop one parent from possibly creating tragedy, I salute him!

As a middle school parent, PTA President and substitute teacher at the elementary and middle school level punishing this teacher for his actions would be so wrong and send the wrong message. He acted in the moment to protect the children in his care.

Student safety is PRIORITY! Thank GOD this teacher and students were not harmed due to an awful decision by this parent. This teacher should be THANKED for doing all he could to protect the students of your school! SHAME on you for suspending him!

As a fellow teacher, I am very impressed with Mr. Morgan's actions. He put himself in danger to protect his students. Someone needs to tell this parent that the rules apply to her just as they do to everyone else. Mr. Morgan is a hero, not a villain.

The driver ignored traffic cones, one teacher and then Mr. Morgan. He talked to her first and she STILL drove around him. What else should he have done to make her stop? She wasn't listening to him talk and SHE was endangering student's lives.

My children don’t go to Dulles but I’ve had kids in the District since 2001 and I can say the behavior in the pickup/drop off lanes at our schools has gotten worse. You did what we all want to do! Thank you for watching out for all of our children!!
