Rita was wrong and selfish in her actions, both in her blatantly disregarding the rules, and more embarrassingly, in her desperate attempts to play the victim to the media about it.

This teacher is a hero. Lady knew she broke the law and even asked for a ticket, then has the gall to complain. Feel bad for your children to think . anyone can act in this manner. kick rocks woman.

My daughter attends Janschiff, where a mother was killed and her child injured close to the school. Had she gone around cones and accidentally hit a child or someone else, we would be asking ,” why didn’t teachers do more to stop her from recklessly driving?” It is imperative for kids safety that within school zones ALL driving rules are strictly followed! She should get a stiff ticket for driving around cones and not obeying the flow of traffic rules at the elementary school!

We should be proud of this teacher stepping up to protect these children. There should be no negative effects to this teacher & instead he should be given a medal!

The teacher was 100 percent right. The driver was out of line in two ways. I was run over by a car while getting off of a school bus when I was 11 years old! I’m a grandmother now and I want school officials to do whatever possible to keep our children and grandchildren safe. I still have problems with my legs. If you drive on school grounds you need to follow the rules no exceptions and being late isn’t a reason to not follow protocol as my teenage son says you can’t be double late. Keep doing your job sir. I respect the action that you took.

He went above and beyond to perform his job (one of which is to protect the students) he should be getting a raise not backlash. Mrs. Rita should be fined/ cited for ignoring 2 school officials and going around cones which clearly represent area closed. Why is she entitled to disregard the rules? I say Awesome Job Sir! You should be commended.

The lady that was breaking the rules needs consequences.

Dedicated teachers will ALWAYS putthe safety of our students first. That includes jumping on hoods of cars belonging to parents not following rules.

He did nothing wrong. He was protecting his students from someone who thought the rules don’t apply to her.

He deserve a metal of honor! You have my thank you! AND!!! Rita! School rules apply to everyone! You put everyone elses child in danger by not following the rule. Maybe get your lazy ass up earlier than usual.

I support Coach Young from Oklahoma!! This mom broke the rules and he was proving a point and protecting students. As a mom I hope my children have a teacher this dedicated.

It’s a shame that we have to sign a petition to ensure that the person enforcing the rules doesn’t have receive any disciplinary action; due to the fact that someone blatantly broke rules and was told “NO” multiple times and continued anyway at the possible detriment to children.

Ridiculous.. You ignore a school bus signal for little kids and you could get jail time.. Stupid woman... Teacher is a hero

He was absolutely in the right (though maybe not the safest thing to do but he still slowed down/ stopped the mother who cut through the parking lot and she was absolutely in the wrong). Good for him and shame on her for endangering childrens’ lives.
