We Stand For Officer Mitch

I realize what a good man he is and know the children and parents put a lot of faith and trust in him.

I frown upon the car tweet county education board. This man was trying to protect everybody at Croatian and if this did turn out to be a real threat then he could've saved so many peoples lives. I very strongly support officer Mitch! The education board needs to stop being so stupid and hire him back.

Firing him was an idiot move. He was there to serve and protect and that is exactly what he did.

What has this world come to

I have four children at White Oak Elementary. They all love Officer Mitch and I feel safer with him there. I will be very upset (and vote accordingly) if the school board doesn't bring him back.

The kids love officer Mitch! He's never of duty and always there for the children, even at a park if they smile at him he will play a game of catch. If he was trying to protect the kids and warn the parents, he should be brought back! One of the reasons my children go to White Oak is knowing they are protected by someone who cares enough to pay attention!

Reinstate Officer Mitch!! It's the right thing to do.

Our children need a role model like Officer Mitch as well as the feeling of safety he provides for them at school everyday.

Mitch is one of the best police officers I've ever met

Great officer always enjoyed working with him .I trust him with my life and my 4 kids lives. He cares more than most and goes beyond the walls of the school and his job to meet needs of his community.

Officer Mitch needs to be back at WOES. The children all love him and he is a good role model for them.

My family fully supports Officer Mitch. The students, staff & parents at WOES need him back! He is a huge asset to WOES, an outstanding role model to our precious children, & gives our teachers & parents extra reassurance in regards to providing a safer place for everyone at WOES! I pray the BOE reinstates Officer Mitch immediately! Thank you Officer Mitch for everything you do for our community. You are greatly appreciated by many.

Each of us needs to decide what is more important lives or attendance metrics? Think of the moral courage this officer displayed after reading the texts.

As a student in the carteret county school system, we deserve to feel safe at school and our lives should not be put in risk. He was doing his job, and ensuring our safety. Even though it didn't happen, he was worried and brought attention to the possibility. He doesn't deserve to lose his job over ensuring our safety, and it's ridiculous to be upset that he brought awareness to an issue involving our safety.

Bring him back!! He is so great for the students. My kids are so upset!

I've known officer Mitch since childhood. He is an honest, caring man. I would trust him with looking out for my children's safety without question or hesitation.

Sad that the school is doing this. Really? The school board should be fired.

Bring Mitch back where he belongs.. The kids and the parents trust him. A great man that in my mind did the right thing.
