One cannot claim "Nothing to hide", and call for an "independent" review and yet have one to be carried out by a long-time close colleague from the same party. Singapore is not some corrupted third-world country. Others will be laughing at Singapore if we allow this.

In all fairness, COI is recommended.

We want to know how much he rent for such a big place ?

What is the reason to rent this huge palatial state-owned bungalow when you already owned one GCB already? Are you going to stay in both bungalows and if not then why rent this second bungalow? We, citizens of Singapore are struggling with ever-increasing cost of almost everything and a depreciating leased hdb (to zero dollars after 99 years) for a roof over our heads. How does it makes sense that you, voted in as trustee, as public servant living in grand maharaja style as against us poor struggling workers to drive the Singapore economy to pay your high salaries? I support a COI to gets to the many questions surrounding this whole Ridout B&W bungalow rental by two Ministers issue.

Independent review of bungalow case should NOT be lead by friends or fellow party govt members

This is an abuse in power. Clash of interest, lack of transparency and accountability. 80% Citizens live in HDB flats with decaying lease, retirees are sold 32sqm retirement homes but now our ministers, the ruling class live in palatial homes and simply show no remorse nor care for the common folks. They must resign and step down.

Independent committees to carry out this investigation SHOULD NOT comprise of ANY past or present PAP members

The COI members must comprise former Judiciary High Court Judges who is not beholden to the PAP. Also the COI should also include key members of other non-PAP MPs of the current Parliament.
