We would love to keep hens as pets. Since other cities allow them, we kindly ask that we be given the same opportunity.

With changing economic conditions, I feel the Greendale residence should be able to get a permit to have up to four chickens on their property. This is in line with the city of Milwaukee ordinance.

What do we need to do to in order to get this passed? Having chickens would be a great addition to Greendale, not to mention a great experience for our children and families.

Please make this legal, it amplifies a green “homestead” lifestyle with strong roots in patriotism and community pride. We love greendale and want to fulfill our dream in our community.

Chickens are self-sustaining, provide organic eggs, good fertilizer, great pets control, teach responsibility to your children, entertaining. You do not need a rooster to get eggs. Yes, they do require work, which is up to each individual homeowner. Freedom to choose.

With inflation as well as the need to increase health and go organic ... citizens should be allowed to raise their own chickens!

Would LOVE to have chickens here. Franklin, hales corners both allow them so why not here? Our 1927 farmhouse still has the original coop in back, we use it as the tool shed right now but would really like to turn it back to its intended purpose.
