Why can't buses wait in traffic like the rest of us? Why do trees and grass have to be taken away to shave a few minutes off the journey?

We need bus lanes - they help to alleviate congestion when designed & used properly. We need trees - they give us oxygen & drink water, thus helping to alleviate flood risk, let alone the aesthetic qualities which we know are key to good living. In this case, a bus lane which goes nowhere & not likely to impact greatly on congestion is not worth removing trees for.

I have lived here nearly all my life, never ever, including my two daughters aged 10 and 8 have we ever heard such a stupid, money wasting plan that will take so long to actually do, impacting on traffic in that time. It's just like the stupid things the council have done over Heath park with the new pond that every time it rains drenches the main path around the park, and cut down trees around the tennis courts which were windbreaks, leading to two other fantastic trees to get blown over. Get a grip your plans aren't wanted or needed.

Absolutely ridiculous if this goes ahead. What is the point !? Not benefiting anybody. Just bringing upset to residents!

Not one thing I have read about this issue has persuaded me that people need a bus lane here. Everything I have read convinces me that people need trees. Leave them alone please.

I urge Cardiff City Council to drop plans for the pointless bus lane which will result in the loss of valuable trees, for a very small advantage to very few people.

Let's have a properly thought through travel plan for Cardiff not peace meal expensive changes which won't solve the big transport problems but will remove much loved and needed trees

Please reallocate the money to a more useful purpose. I pay tax on my wages and road taxand fuel tax please listen I do not want my tax money used to kill the little greenery thats there and have less room on the road The bus is fine leave it alone Thanks

Driving this road several times a day there is no justification for a bus lane, still room to pass bus when stopped at a bus stop and no big build up of traffic, seems ridiculous to have such and affect on the residents of the houses and the beautiful trees if that road!!!

I cannot see any point in introducing a bus lane on Caerphilly Rd. Taking away trees that have been established for many years and less parking for residents in the area. What is it you are trying to achieve!!

A bus lane on this stretch of road will have minimal impact and will result in the unnecessary destruction of trees
