I oppose the composition of the Bill before Parliament altering the Tax Parity reduction on wagering turnover to further disenfranchise the Greyhound Racing Industry in favour of the Thoroughbred and Harness (horse) industries. 22% of betting turnover reduced to 10% Tax Parity at the whim of a Racing Minister. What a joke!!

It would seem that the inequity relating to the revenue % would seem unbalanced in relation to Greyhound Racing - why is this?

To be fair to the NSW greyhound industry the reduced betting tax should be used in combination with the grossly unfair Intra Code Agreement give NSW greyhound racing a total split of their market share of 22%. That would mean the reduced betting tax split should be well in excess of 22%. Then an appropriate portion of the total funds can be used to address the industry issues and recommendation.

This decision cannot be based on any sense of fairness, either commercially or morally. I am totally disgusted.

The NSW government should get off their arses and take a good look at the way Victorian greyhound racing is run. Any wonder Paul Wheeler races most of his dogs in Victoria.

This split up is totally unfair. Looks like we have drawn the short straw again.

A special commission of inquiry should be set up to investigate this continuing mistreatment of our industry by government officials
