Any way you look at this , irrespective of what racing code is your gig , this deal that's trying 2 be imposed on the NSW greyhound racing industry is not a true blue fair dinkum ozzie way 2 treat & hand down on 2 this codes participants. FACT ! Not just financially unfair & a slap in the face 2 the code that generates more wagering turnover than ANY horse racing code on a pound 4 pound basis but also MORALLY as well. Remember, if ya want the plant 2 keep on growing year after year ya WATER THE ROOTS NOT THE FLOWERS ! Its about time the NSW greyhound industry got a fair go !!! Please...

The industry is trying to implement a lot of changes and welfare reforms and wants to support these reforms not donate prize money to the other codes.

Please be fair. The majority of industry participants who do the right thing and abide by the rules don't deserve this.

This is a reverse subsidy of epic proportions. Greyhounds helping the Waterhouses , Harveys , Inghams , Singletons etc get even richer. Meanwhile the battler gets belted.

I think we should take decisive action. All Trainers should refuse to race at any racetrack in NSW for a 24 Hour period . This would let the TAB know how much revenue they would lose from greyhound racing. This action would need to happen on several occasions to be affective. It is time Greyhounds are given the respect they deserve, .

We are expected to give our dogs the best conditions s they do deserve but the powers that be won't support us by giving us our fair share of the pie so we can do this. Where is the justice in that

If we were given our share from the disgraceful intercode agreement years ago, we wouldn't be in the situation we are currently in. We would of had sufficient funds to do welfare inititives that have now been put in place with money taken from our prizemoney. Just another kick in the guts for greyhound owners & trainers. If these percentages aren't amended to a realistic number we are doomed as an industry. What is the % breakup in VIC ?????

the Sport of NSW Greyhound Racing deserve more respect and credit for their support of the NSW Racing Industry and contribution of product to the income Government derive from the Wagering Tax. The Government is declaring the specific code shares were defined by the Economic contribution to the State. The Government need to go public and disclose the figures used for the formula. I believe the NSW Government had a moral obligation to our Greyhound Code to allocate our share at least a minimum level of 13.2% as per the Intercode Commercial arrangements of "New Monies" to Race distribution share . The majority of participants in our Greyhound Sport fear they are being hobbled to progress the future of our Sport. The Sport of Kings and the Sport of Battlers should be working together, it is in our best interest to achieve a mutual outcome to progress all NSW Race Codes. I hope the Government can reconsider the Wagering Tax Bill and insert further amendments to increase the Greyhound Code share.
