The funding split has been revised to properly reflect our contribution to this industry. This outcome ensures the future of our dogs and the people who care for them every single day. We won this fight because we refused to accept being sidelined.

SOMETHING SERIOUS TO EVERY PARTICIPANT...PLEASE READ THIS AND SHARE.

AS everyone is aware, the greyhound industry has been short changed by the signing of the inequitable "Intra Code Agreement" that sees us locked in to a 99 year lease and subsidizing the other racing codes.

It is well documented that we receive about 11% whilst producing double that in revenue.

Because that agreement apparently can't be changed without the a consent of the other codes, we are stuck with it.

It has just been announced that the NSW Government has reduced betting tax from about 3.8% to a more realistic 1.8% and guess what? The split up of this extra revenue is 77.5% to the horses, 12.5% to the harness and a lousy 10% to us.

My information is that members will vote on this proposal NEXT WEEK which gives us very little time to lobby support from Government Ministers.

I have just attempted to contact my Local M.P.s and I urge EVERY PARTICIPANT to do the same, asking why the inequity.

If you don't act in the next few days it will TOO LATE to change.

We just hit 250 signatures and I am honestly overwhelmed by how quickly this is growing. Seeing this many people recognize the unfairness of this revenue split gives me hope that the government will actually listen to us.

We are approaching our milestone of 250 signatures and the momentum shows that people are finally waking up to this injustice. Please get this link in front of your local representatives right now because they need to see that we will not accept this 10 percent scrap while our hard work fuels the rest of the industry.

I oppose the composition of the Bill before Parliament altering the Tax Parity reduction on wagering turnover to further disenfranchise the Greyhound Racing Industry in favour of the Thoroughbred and Harness (horse) industries. 22% of betting turnover reduced to 10% Tax Parity at the whim of a Racing Minister. What a joke!!

This is a reverse subsidy of epic proportions. Greyhounds helping the Waterhouses , Harveys , Inghams , Singletons etc get even richer. Meanwhile the battler gets belted.

I think we should take decisive action. All Trainers should refuse to race at any racetrack in NSW for a 24 Hour period . This would let the TAB know how much revenue they would lose from greyhound racing. This action would need to happen on several occasions to be affective. It is time Greyhounds are given the respect they deserve, .

We are expected to give our dogs the best conditions s they do deserve but the powers that be won't support us by giving us our fair share of the pie so we can do this. Where is the justice in that

the greyhounds should be entitled to a fairer share since they are generating revenue and with extra money the industry could develop some country tracks to TAB status and there fore generate mor eincome for the industry

Why is it so hard to return what each sport generates as a % to that sport? Fair and equitable for all. If you want more money, don't steal from another sport, just get better at generating your own Income.
